Conformal elements combine some of the benefits of conformal arrays with additional mounting flexibility, at the cost of connection complexity. The individual elements can be mounted where a conformal array wouldn’t fit, such as in between fins. The downside compared to the conformal array is that multiple elements may be required for robust 360 degree coverage, and additional hardware inside the vehicle – which we can supply – is required to connect them.
